At StoryCentre Canada, we believe that sharing and listening to each other’s stories and creating something from that effort can change lives, change communities, and change the world.
Our Philosophy.
-
Everyone has many stories to tell.
Each participant in a storytelling workshop is complex and has many intersecting identities. We honour the whole person as we guide you toward one moment, one particular story to tell in the context of the current project.
-
People need to be heard.
Research is never just numbers. The communities and individuals whose experienced are being studied should have the opportunity to speak for themselves.
-
People see, hear, and perceive the world in different ways:
There is no formula for making a great story! Each person is supported to tell their story in a way that is right for them.
